For an album entitled Keep It Safe, you would think you would hear something very basic and radio friendly that tends to be dumbed down by miles for the mainstream music industry to digest. However, the Wild Ones have done the exact opposite. With a voice reminiscent of Debbie Harry from Blondie along with many new wave grooves some old and new including a pallet of break beats borrowing from hip hop, electronica and good old fashioned stadium ballads, Wild Ones proves to expand out in their sound to keep each and every track interesting. Some of the songs fall flat but when this collage of sounds stands together the results are very intriguing for listeners. If this is what keeping it safe means one can only imagine what it would be like for these artists to get out of their comfort zone for their next project. -Matt “DJ Wylie Stylie” Wylie
